Malta's nightlife has boat parties, pool parties and superclubs — what it didn't have was a proper Italian dinner show. Enter La Notte Vola: Sundays at IT Malta, Level 02 of the Mercury Towers in St Julian's.

What actually happens

You sit down to a full dinner; the show comes to you. A live band works the room, the sax ends up on (and occasionally between) the tables, confetti falls somewhere around the second course, and by dessert the great Italian songbook has the whole floor singing. It ends the only way it can: everyone on their feet.
